THE FIRST 2010 TRI-UR-OWN SUMMARIZED

Five brave souls participated in this year's first Tri-ur-own distance: Kristian Cabahug, Ric Dizon, Ralph Sios-e, Lyndon Dongallo and Anton Regis. All are camsur bound except for Anton who decided to pass this years 70.3 Ironman Philippines. Supporters were also present to lend a helping hand: Janet Cabahug, Coach Benjoe Gimenez, Helen and Yanyan Dizon. A couple of SugbuTri online forum members also stopped by to show their support: Jemsban and Juperson.
The participants swam about 1.8km of open sea water and had to battle their way through the bigger waves than usual. There were a few jellyfish stings along but they managed to dodge and face them head on. Anton said that, jellyfish are always there and getting use to them is part of the training.
